Mgr Natalia Soszka

M.Sc., Ph.D. student

A first-year Ph.D. student in the discipline of chemistry at the Doctoral School at the University of Silesia. A graduate of MSc studies in chemistry with specialization in forensic chemistry at the Institute of Chemistry at the University of Silesia in Katowice. Her master thesis, of which supervisor was dr hab. Barbara Hachuła, prof. UŚ focused on applying vibrational spectroscopy for the identification of blue ballpoint inks in the study of document forgery. Her current research interest focuses on studying the influence of intermolecular interaction, particularly hydrogen bonds, on the behavior of soft matter in porous materials. In her work, she uses Infrared Spectroscopy and Raman Spectroscopy. She is also interested in Raman imaging. She is a doctoral student-scholarship holder in the OPUS 17 grant project financed by Polish National Science Centre headed by dr hab. Magdalena Tarnacka, prof. UŚ. In her free time, she travels, listens to music, reads books, and goes to theatres.
